Greyhounds
1. Ante-Post Betting
i) All bets are all in run or not.
ii) Prices offered on specific competitions are Ante-Post up to and including the semi-final stage, where the race cannot be supplemented by a reserve.
iii) Bets placed on the final or on a single race event will be settled on a Non-Runner No-Bet basis, with all remaining bets being settled at starting price.
iv) Forecast bets are not accepted at Ante-Post prices.
2. Place Terms
Win only 2 - 4 runners
1/4 odds 1,2 5 - 7 runners
1/5 odds 1,2,3 8 or more runners
3. Race Betting
Greyhound names are displayed for information only, with all bets being settled on the trap number.
If a reserve dog runs, all bets stand; however, if an early price is taken and that selection subsequently becomes a non-runner then all bets at that early price are void.
In the event of a non-runner in a race with early prices, all bets placed on the race before the withdrawal will be settled at SP. In this circumstance if a customer wishes to void their bet(s) by mutual consent we will do so if contacted via live chat before the show prices are in.
Where a no-race is declared and is subsequently re-run bets are settled on the re-run at SP
When placing a bet on greyhound racing, am I backing the trap or the dog?
When you place a bet on a greyhound race you are betting on the trap number. If the reserve runs, then your bet transfers to the reserve.
The only exception to this is if you have taken an early price, occasionally we will have early prices for the higher profile dog races in which case you do not get the reserve and your stake is refunded.
Tricasts
Tricast bets, in which selections must finish first, second and third in the correct order in specified races are accepted in single bets only.
Stakes for any tricast double, treble, etc accepted in error will be divided equally to cover each tricast race in tricast singles only.
Greyhound tricasts are only accepted on races for which a computer tricast dividend is declared.
Any tricasts accepted for races which no tricast dividend is declared will be settled as computerised straight forecasts on the selections nominated to finish first and second, with the selection for third place discounted.
What Happens if I have a Non Runner in a Forecast or Tricast
Forecast bets?
If one of the selections becomes a vacant trap in a straight/reversed forecast bet (FC/RFC), the total stake will void.
However in a Combination Forecast (CFC), any forecast containing a vacant trap reverts to a forecast on the remaining traps.
For example, a cfc with 4 selections (a,b,c,d) contains 12 fc bets. If 1 of the selections becomes a vacant trap (d) you would be left with 6 fcs (ab, ac, ba, bc, ca, cb) and your total stake will be divided by the remaining selections
Tricast bets
If one of the selections in a straight tricast (3 dogs) (TC) becomes a vacant trap, the total stake will be placed on the remaining selections as a straight forecast bet (FC), so where your selections are a,b and c with b being a vacant trap, your bet would become a FC on a and c. If there is more than one vacant trap then all stakes will be void. The same principle applies to combination tricasts where 3 or more greyhounds have been selected.
Where there is 1 vacant trap, affected bets revert to tricasts where possible and forecast for the remainder, so where your selections are a,b,c,d and c is a vacant trap, your bet would become 6 tricasts (abd, adb, bad, bda, dab, dba) and 18 forecasts (ab, ab, ad, ad, bd, bd, ba, ba, ab, ba, db, bd, da, ad, da, da, db, db)
4. Trap Challenge
Odds may be available on which trap will win the most races at either one greyhound meeting or two meetings combined.
In the event of a Dead Heat, each dog is awarded ½ win. If all races are not completed or there are any vacant traps then all bets will stand. Dead Heat rules apply for all settlement purposes.
